At George Varneys, we now possess a modern fleet of around 70 vehicles, which is further bolstered by our strong relationships with our haulage subcontractors.

Our fleet is comprised of aggregate tipping and walking floor trailers, and 8-wheeler tippers. Additionally, we have 50 agriculture TASCC registered trailers, for our grain and animal feed transport services.

All vehicles are aimed to be updated every 5 years, to ensure our fleet remains modern, efficient, and enables a competitive and high quality service.

As a registered CPC training centre, all driver CPC training is provided in house. Training is extremely important to us as a company, to ensure that professional drivers maintain high safety standards, and encouraging their continuous professional development of driving and safety skills.

Furthermore, our team of transport managers have worked for George Varney’s for decades, and have up to 35 years of experience individually. To ensure efficient operations, all our transport managers also conduct a CPC refresher course every 5 years as advised by the traffic commissioner.
